Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

Look!

http://en.pudn.com/downloads135/sour...575860_en.html

:P

But:

So, please give me 5 files that could be described as sources,
and I'll get this SDK source code and share with you!
After that, we can use Visual Studio
to compile this source code without any changes
and knowledes of C++, just copy/paste these source code files
to Visual Studio, compile and then get the full SDK!

Hi Wizard,

Please feel free to use the source code for the Dancemammal editor as your 5 files.

Hi All,

I have paid to be a member of this site, and will download as much Rock Chip info as I can, I will upload all this data to this site when my payment goes through.

Watch this space!

regards
Dancemammal

Thank you!!! 8)

Please don't forget to compile this source code!
(I know you're Delphi programmer,
but it's not hard to copy/paste these code files
to the compiler, compile and get the program)
Now we can create some new programs for Rockchips,
not only stupid games, but Sega concole emulator,
(because Sega is better suits for this purpose),
PDF-viewer, etc.

Hope it's not only for RK27xx, but for RK26xx too
(I have RK2608, 200Mhz 32-bit CPU, without touchscreen but with 7 buttons)
Also we can try to find more Rockchip stuff.

afaik you will need a C cross compiler for Rockchip, just trying to compile in Visual Studio will not work, if the cross compiler is in the download then yes, this is a great breakthrough

Go find some LCD drivers and other things on English sites and use those.

Benjy 26th Feb 2009 4:02 am

here is the RK27xx SDK
RK27XX SDK

WIZARD 26th Feb 2009 4:32 am

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

Thanks! :P
But don't forget to upload the RK26xx SDK!
A lot of people (including me, RK2608)
have 26xx, and SDK for 27xx may be not compatible with 26xx.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now we must compile it correctly
to get the same SDK that chinese developers have. :P :P :P
Maybe Dancemammal can do it,
he is more experienced at the programming-related questions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This version of SDK was released at the last year, so it's not outdated.

Oh my god is this for real? Finally! I'd love to see what comes out of this! Downloading the RK26xx SDK right now in case the link disappears for some reason.

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

I've found out that's only the website
where you can download all this RockChip stuff.
So, this site has the "Search" tab,
type the word and search through!

To compile it you must use ADS compiler!
(instruction under SDK download page)

now we have all this how do we actually make a firmware specific to our player

how can i make and compile a firmware for my s:flo without all the proper info on its hardware?? what LCD is it, what about its wolfson audio chip

i see all this but i am lost as to how we can use it for specific machines without other machine specific info

can someone enlighten me

cheers, but this is a damn fine find non the less

Benjy 26th Feb 2009 8:44 am

my internet connection is too slow to upload all this files!
pm me if you want the login and passowrd for pudn.com!

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

Just had a look at the first download, all I can say is WOW Awesome!
This is the major breakthough we've been looking for ! :)

Good work WIZARD you're a star!

It's gonna take quite a while to go though all this, but its gonna open up Rockchip to better things for sure.

WIZARD 26th Feb 2009 10:13 am

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

@knob: Thanks for compliments! :oops:

knob 26th Feb 2009 11:42 am

I have had a look at the 26xx SDK, it's just the source code, no compiler, but it is the FULL source code for a 220x176 rockchip player with FM and the Tetris game, so enough to make a new firmware.

We just need to compile this and I will try the .rfw on my 2" rockchip and see what works.

Then all we will need to do is (hopefully) tweak the sourcecode to suit our players.

Problem is how to get the "Rock" Compiler

knob 26th Feb 2009 1:10 pm

Can someone download this:-
http://en.pudn.com/downloads136/sour...578619_en.html

There are powerpoint presentations and pdf docs that might help us..

Now click here and get teh filez!!!

knob 27th Feb 2009 10:23 am

WIZARD

Where is the download for the ADS compiler evaluation version?

WIZARD 27th Feb 2009 10:24 am

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

One of the source code files:
http://read.pudn.com/downloads92/sou...viFile.c__.htm

As I was saying, have both ADS v1.20 Compiler and Rockchip SDK, but compiler is so weird...
It's hard to find out how to compile this source code...

I'll collect all the useful Rockchip staff from pudn site,
and then share staff and compiler (cracked, full version) with you!

knob 27th Feb 2009 11:13 am

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

We still need to find this:-

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

We will get this after compile the source code.
I'll share with you SDK source code and compiler,
and documents about, and Snake game source code .

Benjy 27th Feb 2009 11:25 am

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

can you give me a link to that ADS compiler?!

Benjy 27th Feb 2009 11:26 am

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

edit: sry for double post

WIZARD 27th Feb 2009 12:14 pm

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

We can get the same SDK that Chinese developers have
if will compile the source code with ADS Compiler.

Please wait, I need to find the way
how to compress ~400Mb of files
to reduce the size of download.
Then I'll upload and share with you.

Benjy 27th Feb 2009 1:16 pm

have you compiled it yet?!

WIZARD 27th Feb 2009 1:22 pm

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

Yes, I'm programming on Pascal,
but have never worked with big C/C++ libraries,
I have no idea how to compile this SDK
using this weird ADS compiler.
I've nearly completed.

Benjy 27th Feb 2009 1:42 pm

completed with what`!

knob 27th Feb 2009 2:08 pm

hey WIZARD

Don't worry the other stuff, can you just PM us a link to the compiler please...

knob 27th Feb 2009 2:09 pm

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

sorry double post

Benjy 27th Feb 2009 2:32 pm

me too pls!

Benjy 27th Feb 2009 3:34 pm

Can you pls upload the ads compiler only?!

knob 27th Feb 2009 11:47 pm

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

Thanks again WIZARD.

The source for .rkp snake is a VERY big help. I will look at tryng to complie this first.
I have a plan.
We could use the .rkp format to create a new media player or any app we want.
We could adapt the .RFW to create a "bootloader" for the rkp files. Then when we test we just need to drag and drop a rkp file, no need for Consumerupdate. a lot safer!

I want to look at stripping out all the stuff we dont need from the .rfw and just create a "bootloader" that goes straight to the "GAME" menu. Where we can launch new apps. WIZARD, does your player support Rock Games?

Good you know Russian WIZARD!
Good work is also going on this here:-

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

WOW everyone, good discussion.
However, I'm no programmer so I can't add anything valuable to this. I'l just keep reading the posts in it :)

WIZARD 28th Feb 2009 3:59 am

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

Yes, I'm learning Russian, because there're a lot of excellent Russian writers! 8)

I've tried to involve more people at this project,
because if a lot of people will be doing a brainstorm,
in that case our chances are rising! :P
There're a lot of professionals at this wasm.ru forum!
And they already have some results! :P

My player can play Rockchip games, but only these:
"Tanks", "Snake", "Pirates" and "Head Space".
I can't launch "Fighting Space" and "Rumble Cube".
So, the results are: my player supports all *.rkp were created for RK2608 (Tanks&Pirates)
and half from created for RK2606 (Snake&HeadSpace).
When I launch Snake/Headspace, screen is rotated, and buttons are weird.

Re: Hooray!!! Rockchip SDK!

@knob: Good idea! :idea:

One enthusiast from wasm.ru forum (Rooman) found out that
at the RK225_Dict_08_28 folder there's a project file
Rockchip_Prj.Uv2, which was created
using Keil Professional Developer Kit.
Description:
 http://www.keil.com/c51/pk51kit.asp
We can use it for our purpose! :P
Download:
 http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?tzyzd5z45fz

P.S. I've noticed that keygen.exe contains a small trojan.
It's not very dangerous. Please delete this file after
you will generate a licence code.
