Help, identify my MP4 player
i bought a new MP5 (as it displays on the screen) for my kid, because its an MP3 player, video player, plays NES(nintendo) files, has a camera so its an all around entertainment tool for him.
now i want to change the screen menus as i have with my old chipods. however when i run S1fwx extract, it cannot even see the player. the player version as displayed in tools - version of the player says that it is 4.01.01812. Can I extract the firmware from this and allow me some menu editing? Thanks. here is a picture of my player http://dc122.4shared.com/img/9007963...icture_004.jpg |
Re: Help, identify my MP4 player
Open it up and look inside, probably Sunplus or Anyka.
Maybe Rockchip. But definitely not Actions. |
Re: Help, identify my MP4 player
no other way of determining what type of chip it is without opening it?
and if it isnt ACTIONS chip, if its ANYKA or ROCKCHIP, can i edit the firmware to change the menus? thanks. |
