Help, identify my MP4 player

i bought a new MP5 (as it displays on the screen) for my kid, because its an MP3 player, video player, plays NES(nintendo) files, has a camera so its an all around entertainment tool for him.

now i want to change the screen menus as i have with my old chipods. however when i run S1fwx extract, it cannot even see the player.

the player version as displayed in tools - version of the player says that it is 4.01.01812.

Can I extract the firmware from this and allow me some menu editing? Thanks.

here is a picture of my player

Open it up and look inside, probably Sunplus or Anyka.

Maybe Rockchip. But definitely not Actions.

no other way of determining what type of chip it is without opening it?

and if it isnt ACTIONS chip, if its ANYKA or ROCKCHIP, can i edit the firmware to change the menus?

thanks.
