Just got a new player from EBay
 

It appears to be a rk27xx sdk, version 2.2. According to some reader thingy I found here.

It plays heaps of formats - even a ripped dvd (vob files, haven't tried the ifo files yet).

Vob (dvd size !!), flv, wmv, mpg, avi, rmvb, All up to the 640 x 480 of the player resolution, and the 720x576 dvd size. It won't play the newer V7 flv files.

Screen is nice and sharp, touch is OK, a little iffy sometimes.

Pretty happy with it, but for a few things:

The clock does not keep time (set it, wait 20 min, and it's 20 mins behind.. LOL!). Same for date.

The game is pretty crap, some match the two figures thingy (would be OK if they were reversed. like a memory game).

I wonder if it can play any other games? Sis files and mobile phone jar files don't work.

rockchip 27 series player so no, cant play other games at all - any

clock not setting has happens before on other clone player and is firmware fault of which you wont get fixed as the player will get no updates

Unfortunately the rstag method of getting at the firmware doesn't work..
