I got this MP4 Plyer from amazon. and have no idea what it is. there was no names on amazon or on the player.

That's interesting info to have.
Not really much point updating the firmware anyway. nothing wrong with it.
Would be nice to figure out how to use the .rkp sdk. looks really hard to make a game.
