mp4 nana clone showing hourglass

I had recently bought 4gb mp4 player unbranded. It worked for one week very well but after one week it is showing the loading screen ie the hourglass on the screen and nothing can be done and whenever i connect to my pc it detects as unknown device and no removable disk is shown on my computer. Any help would be appreciated and i request if anybody have this type of firmware version to upload on this site. Thanks.

Another one of these new AK202x... this is going to be a little bit of a problem. Did you get any newer version of MP3 Player Utilities?

Also, that's only a 1GB flash.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah. I had two version of mp3 player utilities ie 4.16 and 3.68 but i know it will not work as the mp3 is detected as unknown device and drives are not seen, so i don't think by installing new version of mp3 player utilities will work. Is there any idea to make my mp3 work by upgrading some other firmware. I have searched through google for the firmware mentioned above but i couldn't find. Is there any other firmware that would work for my mp3 player. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

If it's detected as an unknown device, it's probably in ADFU mode, i.e. waiting for firmware recovery. However, those old versions of MP3 Player Utilities aren't compatible with these newer devices nor the encryption on the firmware. Someone posted an AK2025 firmware on here before, but it's encrypted and noone's figured out the encryption yet. Your best hope is to read the Chinese MP4 forums like mydigit.cn and see whether they have the newer player utilities yet.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the above mentioned site and i tried to download some firmware but i was not able to download. If you find some solution for my mp3 player then please let me know. thanks
