It's a Rockchip RK27xx series player.
Looks nice, does it display Album art? some New RK27xx players do.
How much did you pay for it?
have a look here for more info:-
Firmware Extraction for new Rockchip RK27xx series players.

I paid US$98.50!!! I think is fair for 16Gb...
And does not display Album art, neither calendar and hours!!!
How you know that is a new RK27xx? Where can I find this information?
And about the firmware... Can I try another one? if doestn't work well, can I restore the old one?
Thank you so much for your help
Marcelo

Is it really 16GB? Open it up and read the part# of the flash chip to confirm.

MGebrael
what came on the cd i didn't get a cd with mine. could you post the contents ( i bought it from the smae seller - nice guy)
the firmware is editable i have already changed the batt charge, start up screen. there looks like there two other games in the firmware a aircraft and a tank game . i'll get back to them later . player is nice and the only thing i would change is the touch - not as good as other touch devices i've used.
inside the batt has alot of space - a bigger batt would be great ( its only 850mha) but it has a good life so far.

Hi sin,

Can I ask what tools you used to change and edit your player? It would be interesting to share this with everyone else so they know for the future.

Yes a safer way. Just copy around 9GB of movies to the player and see if they play back ok. If they do then it's really a 16GB.
I think it will be a real 16GB, 16GB is quite common on Rk27xx players.

BTW don't change the firmware until you back up the firmware on the player now, just to be safe.

yeah, dont change the firmware

these players are a COPY of the ramos T8 player NOT from the same factory so DO NOT use any other firmware

they are all over ebay and all the mp4 shops have them, you cant update firmware

as for the CD dont bother as the contents will be generic, often containig firmware for TOTALLY diff player .. the perils of no brand goods

re firmware moding, what tools are you using, we have a editor here

MP4 Nation Forums • View topic - s:flo and NEW ROCKCHIP (RK27) Theming guide and tools

and a new tool here

MP4 Nation Forums • View topic - Rockmod27: mp4nations own rockchip modding tool by seasprite

rockchip firmware contain debris from other players, you will see images in there that DO NOT and never will get used

also be aware of the old modding tool as they can increase the size of the file and make it too big, the new one i linked does not ad reduces file sizes
