Default Is this eBay seller "leecloris" legit?

I was wondering if the ebay seller leecloris is legit. The players he is selling look like a great deal as well as good quality. Also are they actual 8 GB?? Just wanting to get reviews before taking the plunge.

Here is his ebay: eBay My World - leecloris

I can't say for certain that this seller is a full legit seller to be honest.
I did notice the following:
  1. The seller has been a member since June 07 which is almost 3 years now
  2. The seller has had a consistent run of sales for each month since 07 as well.
  3. There has been no negative feedback (but that doesn't mean the seller hasn't sold hacked players before, it could just mean that members hasn't bothered to check...?)
  4. Did a quick Google search and couldn't find anything negative about this seller either
So... to me, the seller 'seems' legit based on the points above but that's not a 100% guaranttee. Is there anyway you can post questions to the seller about the player? Questions such as "Is this player a hacked player?" or "How can you guaranttee that this is a full 8GB player?". Unfortunately I don't have eBay in my country so don't use it so therefore don't know the full features of eBay.

If you do decide to buy a player from this seller, pay by PAYPAL! That way, if it is a hacked player, you can file a dispute and request a partial refund (if not full refund) to cover the cost and time for your efforts and try to 'sting' this seller back (if he/she is selling hacked players that is).

Hope that helps you out.

I didn't go all the way back through all the feedback but it seems that he only started selling players in December. That's something to consider. Buyers might not have noticed they if they are hacked in this short amount of time. Edited to add: That is something that happened a couple of times with me. I checked the feedback and it was good so I bought the players and they ended up being hacked. After I checked into it, the seller had been selling other things that had all the positive feedback with very little feedback on the players. After a while, tons of negative started showing up.

Hi booboo,

I also checked his feedback and it does date back to November 2007 and they are consistent sales since November 2007 as well so it seems to me that he's been selling on eBay for over 2 years now. I can't tell whether they are MP4 players though as eBay removes those details from older auctions.

I bought an MP3 player on ebay just like the one pictured here. It was not sold by the same person, but it was an 8gb player.

Yeah, he could very well be an honest seller, but two of the sellers I had bought hacked players from had extensive good seller feedback selling other items. I noticed before December that this seller's feedback consisted primarily from selling watches. On the older auctions where it doesn't list what was sold, there are some buyers saying they are happy with their watch. Just something to consider.

I asked the seller last week with the questions you suggested. I have yet to hear back from him.

A few weeks ago I ordered a 4th generation MP4 player (Ipod nano clone ) 1.8 inch screen from Leecloris. It was listed as 8 GB player, but when I tested it with H2testw software, it revealed the true memory size to only 4 GB. I contacted the seller, who claimed that he had occassional problems with the company he bought the players from, in that they sometimes delivered players with fake memory. He offered me a to pay for return shipping of the player plus a full refund, or a partial refund and I would keep the player. I chose the second option. Since the player apart from wrong memory was a very good player, I decided to see if he was indeed telling the truth or cheating, so I ordered another player, a 2.2 inch MP4 player, 5th generation. The player arrived today, and I immediately ran the H2testw software. It came out error free. It was a true 8 gigabyte player, and a very good one. Either he was telling me the truth, or he realized that I would check the second player as well, and shipped me a good one. I can only say that I will buy from him again and that he was a very nice and reasonable seller to deal with.

Bought a dodgy iPod from this seller leecloris that was supposed to be 8GB but turned out to be less than 2GB, has awful battery life and is riddled with errors. He even offered me a bribe if I would turn my neutral feedback (neutral because the shipping was fast and I was giving him the benefit of the doubt) into a positive.

I wasn't going to give into his pathetic bribe, so I informed eBay, though it's unlikely anything will happen when he has that much positive feedback. I would have left a negative if I'd known!

Hope your experience is better than mine.
