Do all these mp3 players still have fake memory?
Hi I am considering buying one of these players; http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-8GB-Slim-1-8-TFT-LCD-MP3-MP4-Player-FM-Radio-Video-Free-Gift-9-Color-/250920122324 The cost ($22.00) is not excessive but I do not want to be ripped off. Some years ago posts on the internet suggest that these players have fake memory, but that was a while back. Now storage is cheaper so maybe they do have the advertised 8GB? (Coby is quite a reputable brand and is sold by Amazon 8GB MP3 player is about $28, unfortunately Amazon will not sell Coby MP3 payers to Australia) So in considering eBay and the TFT: I have emailed the seller and he has replied: “dear friend, pls trust me, we don't sell the fake memory, and i can promise it is true 8GB best wishes”- superbidding520 So what do you guys think, real or not? Also do you think the quality is ok in terms of sound and workmanship etc. I would expect the unit to work for about 2 years, is this realistic? (I have had an apple ipod and that lasted about that long, and I was told by the Apple shop salesperson that 2years is about average. So I am happy to spend $20 for two years workmanship of the device) Can I verify the true storage capacity of one of these players without removing the back and looking at the chip, and without reformatting, so that if indeed it is hacked I can return it without the seller being able to complain that I have tampered with the device and therefore it cannot be refunded? (Oh I have just seen the post from c65 in the forum Support and how to) Thanks for your input Cheers |
i bought one 2.2" 8gb and the memory was effective, you can read my review here:
