Earphone question

Wich earphone do you use?
Orginal one wich came with yours mpx player or some other, brand new?
After changing and trying Sony stereo earphones - I can say that
there is no little, but BIG difference in sound quality.

Donkez,

I agree.
I also have Sony earphones and you do notice the quality difference. I have afew different models and one of the has a budget set of earphones. Changed them for another earphone and it makes a difference.

I think having a decent pair of earphones does make a difference.

The headphones received with my mpx player were OK but I have a lot better sound using the SENNHEISER MAX400 which i bought about a year ago.The sound output from all the MPX players is low, around 10mW. When buying a new pair of headphones compare the Sound Pressure levels SPL which is quoted in dB. There is a lot of difference between brands. Watch out when you do compare them that they are using the same power input to the headphones otherwise you can not directly compare them. Also look at the frequency response curves, there can be a lot of difference in these specifications too. Hope this helps someone a little
Regards
Rowland

First of all a big "thank you" for the makers of this great forum! :D

I bought "Sagem" headphones , offered at Ebay.
This earphones have a much better sound quality and are also louder than the original parts.
The advantage is, that these headphones have a 2,5mm plug , so that no 3,5mm adapter is required.
I payed 4 Euro incl. shipment only.

Yeah i recommend Sennheiser MX400. It's relatively low price but it offers better sound output quality than the Sony ones in the same price range.

You need 2.5mm headphones. Mp4 headphones. Do a google search for 2.5mm headphones or go to your local walmart and the cell phone headphones are 2.5mm or simply buy them from eBay. Better yet when my website is stocked and finished buy them from me!. :)

I use a pair of Panasonic RP-HJE50's, these are the best budget canalphones and you can change the bud size to suit your ears, only problem is that I need a converter to fit them into my chiPod.

Re: Earphone question

I am using OEM Sennheiser CX300. These are ear canal earphones with different size tips for fit. They are very comfortable and play very loud. They can cause damage. I play them at about 15 on my Nano clone. Above 15 the bass gets a little heavy. The headphones are modifyed with a lanyard which I like very much. The nano clone hangs from my neck. I am going to try Logitech stealth earphones because I would like a little more definition in the sound. Try you Nano clone connected to a good stereo system with very good speakers. You will be suprised by its great dynamic range.
