Default AMV defined parrameters

Hi.
I am not sure where to post this, but here goes...
I am very interested in the creation side of things.
so, if I may ask, what is actual spec of an AMV? (if possible the AMV aswell)?
eg;
Video:
Codec, Frames per sec, Bitrate, channels, Audio Kbps, and so on.

Many thanks

Hi.
Thanks for that. Actually, I started the topic page for AMV in Wiki hopeing
that someone would fill in the blanks. So far, no such luck.
I need the Screen bitrate, Output container and Codec as well as the Audio
stuff. Seems it a closely guarded secret, why? who knows.

I'll keep on looking.

All the best

itspete,

The only thing is, I can't speak Chinese. I do have contacts with mpx manufacturers, however the engineers can't speak English very well, so I can't explain/ask them technical questions.

Also, the chip boards are manufactured by either Action, Sigmatel or Sunplus. All have different specs. Actions I believe are the one producing .AMV files. The manufacturer's unfort get the board from them and you're right, it is a "closely guarded secret" as once I've tried, the manufacturers didn't know and Actions won't tell them. As you can imagine, the original producers of the board will get money for customisation of their board, so if they leak information, they would loose that ability (and money producing).

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the actions board is a mod of the original gameboy board.
So, if your interest is the actions solution, and you know the gameboy specs, you may have a close approximation.

Also if someone has an old game boy floating around, if you can connect it to your 'puter, then run Udisk on it we may have an answer.

Wouldn't be fun to try out firmware mods on an old gameboy so you don't fry your new toy!
We may end up with a new hybrid, maybe the Mboy or Game4?
