The fake iPod charger is a design copy too
 

Hello everyone!

First of all, tons of congratulations to the admin and all users of this forum for making of this site such an awesome resource for mp3 and mp4 player users and enthusiastics!

Now... i was wondering if anyone esle has noticed that, in the case of the fake iPod nano mp4 player... the charger is also a design copy! Of the charger that comes with Motorola V265 mobile. Only the logo has been removed and the two lights added, and there is an USB connection instead of the fixed wire in motorola charger.

petruc, I would suggest that there is nothing original about these players as in most cases the manufacturers just buy up suitable existing parts as it is cheaper than designing and manufacturing new ones.

I think I might come up with an ipod mini clone, oh no they are terribly out of fashion

Are you talking about the USB cable charger?

There things have been around for sometime, i don't think Motorola has exclusive rights to this product, its more likely they found some company in china that was already making this product and had them produce it for them with their brand on it.

Just becuase a big name company is making a product doesn't mean they invented it...even the iPod is a complete copy, everyone thinks its unique and that the researchers at Apple made this ground breaking device, but the fact is, they ripped off the idea from already existing products. All apple did was market it better.

Plus the picture he used for his example is of my player!. lol I think it is 1 of the best cloned copies by the way as there is no writing on it ie. MP4 AUDIO PLAYER or anything like that. It is 99.9% like the iPod Nano when it comes to looks. And now I have the iPod theme installed on it thanks to Tadad1 it really looks identical to the Nano. I have 1 in white also I will be posting pics of soon. :)

That's an interesting way of viewing it, razzer001, that may have happened yes. What would be of the world without design copies... The good-looking and highly functional ones are copied or used as base for further development since few would bother trying something else and taking the risk of not getting it right.

Pocket_Nano, thank you for the photo at the gallery... Hope you don't mind it being linked here : ) It's really a very cool clone, and the "no things written" is awesome, I agree.

Just few on-metal writings on the back, but even Original iPod has these! ;D
