Default (Solved) Mods to FM transmitter

When I bought my mp4 player, it came with a 12 volt FM transmitter for use in a car. The trouble is, the transmitter only has one frequency: 107.1, which where I live is a big country station.

Does anyone know of a hardware hack to change the frequency?

Thanks in advance.

bluaerio

That's a good question.
I have a FM Transmitter and it has four different radio channels so I have a good chance of getting a 'clear' channel.

Question for you is, what does your FM transmitter look like? Any details etc...?

I have a contact with a FM transmitter manufacturer in China so if you post information about your transmitter, I will ask him and see what he says (it's worth a try).

I enede up purchasing a 5 in 1 FM transmitter/ car charger similar to the one Binh has for his mp3. I got it off eBay for $8 and $8 shipping, it has 200 FM channels you can use. Works really well.

Lorne,

Your MPx player doesn't have the capability of transmitting information from your player to a radio station so unfort you will need to get a transmitter if you want it to play on a radio.

You can also get a RCA cord that plugs into the earphone jack of your MPx player and output into the red/black RCA inputs on your stereo. Not the same thing, but you can at least play it on your stereo .
