NOKIA 6103 USB download
 

Hey hey!!!

Im have a Nokia 6103 and 3100 phone. Both have the USB (generic nokia one...) and i have installed the software and the computer can read that it is a nokia phone inside.

The problem is, unlike other USB cables like a digital camera or a Mp3 player...it doesnt have a new drive....so its some sort of modem drive...

in any case, its giving me trouble...and i wanna download photos and put in a ringtone and wallpaper.

how do i do that? Anyone know :(

Kappa21 , i have a 6260, but i guess it would be similiar. You'll need to install the Nokia PC Suite, which comes on the CD with your phone.
After that, My Computer would show a "Nokia Phone Browser". Connect your phone to your pc either via USB or Infra-red. Once connected, when you click on the Nokia Phone Browser, it'll automatically display your phone in the folder. There is where you can upload/download files to the phone.
Once done, you'll need to access through your phone to set the ringtones/pictures to your preference.

I did that....
nothing is turning up..

i got a Nokia browse in my computers, but its not showing anything else for some reason. Its very odd..cause it has folders, and i have stuff in the cell phone, but nothing.... for some reason...

its kinda weird.. :(

what do i do exactly?
I wanna upload stuff and i cant see and i cant download stuff too...

Kappa21 , when i connect my phone to my laptop via infra-red (i don't have a usb cable), i'll be able to access my phone through My Computer.

When i double click on it, i'll be shown a directory with my phone that appears as an icon.

Next, depending on where you want to download/upload things, for my case i choose the memory card drive.

Now i'll be able to see what is in the memory card, for instance i want to download photos to my computer, i choose Images.

Finally, here is where all the pictures taken by my phone are stored. You just need to copy and paste these files to a new location to your computer or vice versa. It works the same as a normal windows directory.

Ok!

So when i put my phone in, it has a sound on the computer that something came in..but when go to My computer and get onto the Nokia Phone Browser, than it does not give me anything.

I dont see my phone. I see like 4-5 folders and thats all.

Should i re-install my software...cause i also had a Motorola v220 on my system before and it was all right. But there both installed. So im guessing one conflicts with the other maybe...

Kappa21 , i don't really have an idea on what to do about it. It might be some conflict with your other phones. i have both LG and nokia installed on my laptop and everything seems alright.
