lionblazeo, you'll find that alot of people on this forum are either very young or from countries where English speech and writing skills are poor.
I have noticed the use of the 'short messaging style' similar to mobile text messaging. All the kids are doing that these days... some even use it in thier schoolwork (i work at a school and believe me it's no easy task trying to decypher some of the stuff) As i understand it 'Brick' means 'turn your player into a very pretty brick' because most of the time thats all it's good for once it stops working. 'Wich' i'd assume is simply short for 'Which' as in "Which mp4 player do i buy?" because a 'Witch' is someone that likes to fly around on a broomstick with a pointy hat. Allow me to assist ... "common now" should be "come on now" and "grammer controll" should be "grammar control" Oh and this is a great "Forum" :) |
lol well said Odyssey :D

I say brick or bricked , but its not because of bad english, Its because if i say broke or broken it sounds like ive snapped somthing off my player , Or damadged it , Instead of ruining the firmware.

Well said _Odyssey.
I find that now a days with the growth of internet, email and texting, I think we're all loosing out on writing in a proper manner. Remember the good old days of school where we're taught proper letter writing and formatting? Since leaving school many years ago, I haven't really written a proper letter for awhile now. Damn, I even email my work colleage who is sitting about 5 metres away from me!! I think over time, laziness and reputation kicks and we find ourselves shortening common words and phases. Take "lol" for example. Anyone on the internet or has a mobile phone knows what that means. 10 years before, no one would know what the heck you're talking about! Onto your topic more though. I thinking "bricking" would be a better term for people who flashed their player with incompatible firmwares. |
