Well said _Odyssey.
I find that now a days with the growth of internet, email and texting, I think we're all loosing out on writing in a proper manner.
Remember the good old days of school where we're taught proper letter writing and formatting? Since leaving school many years ago, I haven't really written a proper letter for awhile now. Damn, I even email my work colleage who is sitting about 5 metres away from me!!
I think over time, laziness and reputation kicks and we find ourselves shortening common words and phases. Take "lol" for example. Anyone on the internet or has a mobile phone knows what that means. 10 years before, no one would know what the heck you're talking about!
Onto your topic more though.
I thinking "bricking" would be a better term for people who flashed their player with incompatible firmwares.
