New Owner of MP4 player (Ipod clone)
 

First of, I don't know if this subject is appropriate so I placed it in the misc folder to be safe.

Iamb a newbe about the MP4 clones market.

I'll buy a new MP4 Ipod Clone today, I'll meet the seller with my laptop ready to make sure the 4gb is a real 4gb version (I first wanted a 8gb version but came to the conclusion there's no real version of them, only hacked version that don't have 8gb while reading this website), I've read the forums, its quite usefull to have a place for something that doesn't have a real brand of, I was really surprised to get this result with google and it will help a lot. I'a computer tech spe******t so maybe I can help some others (I don't know anything about hacks, programming or this kind of stuff, but if it is windows related, I can probably fix that)

Dodge34..good idea..to have a mp4..use it wisely..

Finally I got one, I had some suspicions that It would not be a 4gb and I was right I showed it to the seller that it was hacked to show 3,99gb but once formated with the tools on this website it came down to 961mb, I got it for 30$ so I guess a nice price for it, my firmware is pretty recent I was really surprised. it shows :

I'll post pictures of it later, there's a nasty little speaker in the back of it and the earphones plug doesn't deactivate the speaker correctly so there's still my music play on both the speaker and my earphones. I loaded it with a load of music and so far, no problems even with dj mix that last for 1hr in 1 file in vbr mode. I'll try the video thing in the morning or in the afternoon.

There is a lot to look forward to and heaps of fun (along with frustrations) to be had with these players.

By all means, would love your help and involvement with the site. After all the more we can share amongst each other, the better.

Welcome to the board Dodge. Glad someone found this site helpful BEFORE getting ripped off. Nice change of pace and good to know that the word is getting out.

I`ll buy Nano clone too (1 Gb) from local store. Surprisely it good player (but at store it cost much more). Good quality sound and nice video playback

Next time i will buy player via internet, its cheaper ^_^
