Bribery and Corruption
I have recently purchased a 4GB (well it said that capacity on the advert! ) from an eBay trader.
Using the excellent information on this site I have removed the memory hack... it is a 2GB model (not as bad as some hacked units judging by the forums) Prior to carrying out the memory hack removal I was having issues with the player. After reading the forums I copied 3.5GB of data to it, when I then tried to view this data my computer displayed various errors. (Viewing the properties for one of the folders I copied, Windows XP reported the size as 12GB!!) This is feedback I left for the eBay trader. flashdatong Item received was a hacked 2GB player in minimal packaging, sent from Hong Kong! This is the response. hello my friend I am really so sorry the item can't satisfy you 100%,if you sure the item not a real one, please return to me,if you dont want to me,i can give you some gift or partial refund.hope you can withdraw the feedback for me,lookinf forward to your early reply. really so sorry again. best wishes flash I have opened the player and it has the hynix 2GB chip installed. As it is just about worth what I paid for it (£19.50) I will be keeping it. What do you think I should do now? |
nscripta , get a partial refund and after you've got it, refuse to retract the negative feedback.

I would agree with lattesurf.
Can you tell us who the seller is? Make sure it's mentioned in the [BAD SELLERS] section of the forum so others will know. |
The ebay seller is mentioned in the original post.
Their username is "FLASHDATONG" I will add to the 'BAD SELLERS' section. nscripta |
