I e-mailed them this:
Hi again, I was just wondering: why do the MP3 & MP4 Players have such cheap prices? What is your refund or replacement policy like? If something is faulty will I have to pay the shipping costs to send it to you & will you pay to send it back to me? Do you send the appropriate charger to the Country where the Players are being sent to; I am in New Zealand and we use the same plugs as Australia. Kind Regards, They replied with this: hi dear sir, because we do not need to pay the ebay listing and transaction fee. and we directly produce the players by ourselves. if something faulty, you pay to send back the item to us, we pay to send the replacement to you. we will send you a charger according to your address. thanks I just figured out they are Tronfy Tech, they used to operate the Ebay Account red-vision which was selling hacked players. I don't know if they are very trustworthy.... |
Re: Tinydealdirect???
Thanks nzer_4_lyf.
The only bummer bit is the "you pay to send back the item to us" part, which could cost about $30-$50 on registered mail to China. Quote:

Re: Tinydealdirect???
Here's a relevant thread from a few months ago:
http://www.mympxplayer.org/just-got-...ct-vt6439.html -Maybe some of the people who commented then could throw in their 2 cents now that some time has passed? |
Hi,
I bought an MP4 Player off ebay from the ebay user red-vision & the e-mails I received were from Tronfy Tech (I never went through with the sale since I found out they were selling hacked players). The weird thing is the e-mails I got yesterday say they are from Tonfy Tech (probably just a spelling error). Some pictures on there site are the exact same ones that were on red-vision's ebay auctions- I think ebay banned that account. They might have changed there ways and are now selling legit quality players. I might buy from them to see how good they are. I never thought shipping to China from NZ was so expensive! |
$30-$50 registered mail??!! I only paid about $3! Granted, I took a huge risk sending it in the smallest padded envelope possible without insurance - NOT RECOMMENDED, but when I asked my post office how much it would cost for a normal sized envelope with insurance, it was still a couple bucks less than $10. I would never pay more than that to have it shipped back. I don't know about other countries' rates, but I'm just sharing personal experience.
Also, administrators such as taddad had said that their were similarities in the Company name betweeen tinydealdirect and another eBay seller selling hacked players in the past (can't recall the name right now but I believe they have been put out of business.) There were never any other proven similarities than the company name. To put it bluntly: other members besides me have confirmed receiving nonhacked players from tinydealdirect and others who bought from the other seller received hacked players Not trying to force anything on anyone; it's still your decision. I just wanted to clear some things up. Good luck, whatever you guys decide! |
I might be wrong.
I will however make a purchase from them so I can make a real comment based on something. |
This is weird; I opened up the message source from the e-mail I received from them and it has this listed in a part of it: sent@ebuyhk.com. If you google search ebuyhk it comes up with some pages about hacked players etc.
I just checked my e-mails in Outlook and I found red-vision's e-mail address it was: redvision@ebuyhk.com |
Re: Tinydealdirect???
I ordered this player from Tinydeal a week ago.
http://www.tinydeal.com/catalog/prod...products_id=32 It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm not panicking as the site says it was only shipped on Wednesday. Interestingly enough, the price has now gone up to $55.99. I paid $44.99. But earlier in the year, it was $64.99. I can understand if prices drop, but it seems odd that it has now gone up in price! I've e-mailed Tinydeal a number of times during year and answers have always been prompt and accurate, so I hope it's an okay seller. I'll post what I think once I get the player. Hundnz |
Prices for MP3 & MP4 Players always go up and down in price due to the flash memory price changing a lot.
Did they send you the tracking number? Normally for me when things get sent from HK to NZ via registered air-mail it only takes 3 days max and around 3-5 days max via standard air-mail. |
Yes, the prices went up a bit. I think it's beacause of the flash price chaning whole the time as mentioned before.
It's still cheaper than most sites. Well lets wait and see, if people get real memory players. :) |
