stevenlam , i would avoid this seller totally. Have a look at the negative feedbacks and you'll realise that he/she sells 1GB players hacked to show 4GB instead.

These 2 players are basically the same. Most "MP4" players on ebay are technically the same internally, the difference would only be with the casings and button layout.
Currently the v9.xx series firmwares could be themed using the S1 tools. Though not possible to tell what version the player is using until you physically receive it, most newer players are v9.xx.
I'll suggest having a look at mp4nation.net for legit players. They do sell the branded chinese players such as Meizu, Onda, etc. These are of better quality than typically "MP4" players.
