I'm currently working on the version that needs 3 bmp files, like the firmware of benfo and gta3dude for 1.5 and 1.8 Inch. I will need a bit time, because its complicated to make it really good looking... ;)

greets.

Edit: Has someone the sizes of the three bmp's needed for 1.5 inch?

Re: *Done* iPod Menu for 1.5" and 1.8" including P

Okay here are the sizes of the images for the 1.5 inch screen.

PS I know the image is of a 1.8 inch screen but its the same on a 1.5 inch screen just the sizes are different. I just used another users 1.8 inch display so it was easier for me to edit to put in the sizes of a 1.5" display.

Did you want to upload this to this site as well? We will gladly host it.

There seems to be a few of these ipod themes now, which is great.

nabilash 24th Jun 2006 1:54 pm

Ok, you can delete the old version then :)

Edit: It's uploaded. Would be nice if you delete the old version, thanks. :)

Hello all..I have managed to upgrade my 1.5 nano clone to ipodish views. Now, what is bugging me is that the text still appears in the menu.

I have tried REMOVING the text from the firmware, but when I save, S1RES say 'Data Overflow'.... hmmm... I tried filling the letters with spaces, so I still have the same .bin size....but no change.

Has anyone tried removing the text, and get the mp4 to work?

I also did a 'Nightwish' thened intro and outro screens (www.nightwish.com) , a heavy metal band.

tadad1 25th Jun 2006 1:44 am

metalhead, I have found that the firmware will still function without problem despite the Data Overflow warning.

admin 25th Jun 2006 1:46 am

metalhead

'Data Overflow' messages occur if you replace the original text with MORE or LESS characters than the original text characters. Example: if you replace "Music" with "My Music" or "..", then it will produce this error (different character size).

What you can do is try replacing the word "Music" with just five blank spaces and see if that works?

metalhead 25th Jun 2006 3:38 am

Hi admin, as can be seen from my previous post, yes I have tried that (replacing the text with spaces)...I will try it just the same though...what the heck...

I will comment later on whether it works. I have also got the full IPOD thingy working, but the screen is not as nice as I thought, unless you hold it at a slightly more acute angle...

What I would advise everyone to do though is make sure you put those stock headphones in a bbq fire and invest in a set of Sennheisers... you will truly appreciate what these players are capable of! Of course you will still need to make an adapter, but it is very cheap.

These players AMV come into their own on a treadmill in the gym..unless you have something really NICE to look at! :-))

nabilash 25th Jun 2006 3:51 am

Hello,

for me it works if I just delete the menu names like "Music" without leaving spaces or so...
I made a Video of the Menu so people can see how it looks in a three bmp menu (sorry for the not perfect quality).

Hi Nabilash..it worked perfectly..now I'm off to bed , since I ust returned from the beach!!!!

metalhead 25th Jun 2006 12:43 pm

Hello all, I have used Nabilash iPOD files, together with a new intro and outro, put them all in order, reduced their brightness to get better readability, and wrapped them in a complete firmware.

BACKUP YOUR FIRMWARE BEFORE APPLYING. WORKS 100% THOUGH!

For those who want it before admin put it up, email me.

So it works just by deleting all the characters instead?
I've definately learnt something there, so will definately keep that in mind.

gta3dude 25th Jun 2006 3:29 pm

hey can we change that menue that says initializing to Loding. And put a white background with a blue apple icon? Kinda like this:

We would have to replace the file ERRPIC with the image above.
What do you guys think? Is it possible?

nabilash 26th Jun 2006 5:30 am

Why not?

Have fun: http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/5772/errpic2tv.png

;D

Open with Paint and save it as bmp...

If your brother has a nano you could make pictures of the Menus and post them here, so we know how they look and could create better themes...

I cant get ipodwizard to load his firmware. it keeps messing up?

admin 27th Jun 2006 3:31 am

gta3dude

I haven't found a way to change the 'initializing' message to a custom image. I am stuck with a ugly bright blue screen with the word "initializing'. s1res tool doesn't seem to have it either.

Looks like it's something the s1res tool can't change for the time being.

nabilash 27th Jun 2006 3:32 am

You have to load the Updater file you downloaded, then choose the firmware which is included and click "load".

gta3dude 27th Jun 2006 10:09 am

yea I guess it can't change it!

gta3dude 29th Jun 2006 9:33 pm

anyone elese got anythign new yet?

HAS ANYONE HAD SUCCESS LOADING THIS ON THEIR PLAYER AND IT WORKING?

tadad1 31st Jul 2006 9:56 pm

Jesus_Saves, Different firmware have different image layouts and you can really only design a theme for your own player. In some cases you can edit the images to suit your player but in others it is not possible particularly ones where only part of the menu image changes and not the whole image.

Re: !!BIG UPDATE v3!! iPod Menu for 1.5" and 1.8"

I'm sort of confused with what size the skin is made for. I have a 1.5 inch screen exactly like the one bsaylors showed, with 3 images, 128x20, 10x108, and 102x108. Are there any of the Ipod theme downloads for this screen type?

nabilash 9th Aug 2006 9:04 am

Yes it includes different versions, for your type of player, too!
