To change the theme, you will UPDATE your firmware. However, you're only updating it with the SAME firmware! All you did was change the images on it that's all. Everything else that works/operates the player ISN'T changed at all.

So there won't be a risk of stuffing it up if you use your OWN FIRMWARE file instead.

Yea... Like admin said... no risk of messing up the player since you are using the same firmware you had... so all your doing is changing the images.... its a lengthy process but safe...

It's not as bad as it seems. Just take the time to read through it. It's just making yourself familiar with where the images are located in your firware that's all.....

Good luck and post us your feedback once you get it working.

For the ending of my mpx, there are only nine images. But the ipod ending I downloaded has fourteen. Does that mean I can't use it? If I can, how do I add more images to the ending?

Just don't add the other 5 remaining images. Or import ever second image and repeat the last two images instead.
