Changing my images and menus
 

Hi everyone. I have a clone mp4 player -in fact, it's not a mp4 player because only reproduces amv videos- and I want to change the images and menus. I really can't stand the flower and fishes, so I downloaded from the "downloads" section a theme that's from an IPod.
But I don't now how to upload to the player, because I thnik it's not the way that's explained on the urls that are indicated at the bottom of this topic... ¿How should I do?.
Besides, ¿how do I backup the firmware? I did it on a very hommy way: just copy the bin file to a folder on the PC.

First thing to do is head over to the Knowledge Base section of this site (it's on the left hand side main menu bar).

Have a look at this Knowledge Base - How to: extract firmware of your player using the S1fwx tool from here.

Once you are done, then read this Knowledge Base - How to: Update the firmware for your MP3/MP4 player from here.


It is highly recommended that you modify your OWN FIRMWARE instead of using someone else's as updating an imcompatible firmware on your player will give you a high chance of a 'dead player' (have a look at the "Dead Players" section of our forum to see what I mean).

Editing your OWN FIRMWARE means that once you reload it back onto your player, it will be compatible.
