[solved] Change language from Chinese to English
 

after i upgraded my firmware, the text changed from English to Chinese so I need to change back to English. Can someone help me change the language from Chinese back to English please?

Also, it is always like that when im upgrading my firmware, can i do something about that knd of problem? tnx :)

NoInOi, Chinese is the default language, you can change it by going to the settings menu and choosing the 3rd entry, then the second entry will set the language to english.

You can change the DEFAULT language to ENGLISH by using Firmware modifier, which can be downloaded from here.

It can be used to modify:
* Default Language
* Contrast
* Device details of the firmware.

I strongly suggest you create a backup of your existing firmware firstly before using this. DON'T change the "FM Select" section as it might wipe out "Games" feature in your player.

If you use this and open your existing firmware, you can set the default language to "English" instead. From then on, it should always default to English.

ok, is there an alternative way other than changing the language setting everytime i upgrade my firmware? :roll:

NoInOi, If you are trying different firmware there is no way to tell what the default language will be. There is a program in the download section called FirmwareModify that will allow you to change the default language, but do not touch the FM Radio setting in the app as it will remove your Games, Text or TelBook.

You will only need to change the default language ONCE using the Firmware Modify.

Once you click on [OK] it will write those settings into the actual .bin firmware file itself so next time you use that SAME firmware file to update your player (ie: changing the skin on it), it will default to ENGLISH instead.

interesting...

the firs time i changed the firmware i found lucky the right command... and after that i used to change the chinese command into english command.
(italian have a really funny translation) :lol:

Check the firmware download section, there have been 2 versions uploaded that have had the Italian language corrected.
