New player with a new firmware!
 

I have a new player with firmware version:
New Player

2005/12/16
3.5.35
2006/03/31
JTYMD046V4

It doesn't have the custom ipod firmware like my last one does.

The firmware on my last one is:
Old Player

SC85051E
2006/04/07
ACT_V3.5.35

It has the custome ipod firmware. I wanted to put the firmware from my old player on to my new player. What will happen if I do this? Will it mess it up? Or will it just have all the features that my old player had on it?

I posted this post I don't know why it wouldn't let me log in just a second ago. i said I was logged in but it showed up as guest. I don't understand.

you can try it, but it could destroy your player or it probably won't work at least because there are sooooooo many different firmwares even when the players look absolutely the same. i tried some different firms on my nano clone and none of them worked but i was lucky enough to get the original firm back on the player... i wouldn't do it again, there are too many posts here where you can read that sth. went wrong.

Yea I tryed it but it didn't work. I was lucky to and got the original back on it.
