Wow, looks very nice.
I like the EQ, that looks cool. Mine's however, doesn't have room for that many bars.

The green arrow under the word "MP3" is alittle hard to see with the black and grey background though......

I do like the drop shadow on the time display, that's a nice touch too.

Marc, I like your use of shadow it gives it good 3D depth. Look forward to seeing more of the theme.
I doubt if you would be able to successfully upgrade to 3.5.37 from 3.2.16.

no offense taken! ideas like this can only make the design better.

one of the reasons my screens are overcrowded, is because there are certain limitations with the firmware. you have to work with certain (ugly) colors, for example. the only way to make certain things disappear, is to set them to the same color as the background.

marc: i am wondering how you got around not showing certain elements. is this how you got around the displaying of the "1 of 30," the "128 KBPS" and the total track time? i have been fighting with these issues for weeks. if you have any tips around how to change the background color (like for where the track name is displayed), i would be thrilled.

right now, because of the above mentioned issues, i have trashed the idea of doing a "true" ipod style menu for all sub screens and am working on a totally new flavor for the myPod theme.

well, this is what i have so far...

this was more ipod like, but i have already started making changes to it to fit the rest of my screens (the back indicator). you'll notice the funny light blue fuzzy part: this is there because the system text shown by the player has the background color. so to make it blend with the rest, i created this blue fuzzy area with heavy feathering. on my screen (with contrast set to 3), you don't really see it. and the blue background behind the text almost magically disappears!

well, these things take time. and when you have a full-time job and a little daughter... there's not much time for playing, unfortunately.

but i got a lot done on the weekend. i have to clean up a lot of my files before i produce the BMPs and PSDs.

maybe another week?

I know what you mean as well.
I have a 2 and a half yr old daughter and a second one on the way (end of this year). Work, mortage to pay, family house.... no time for internet or time to do much else now. Sometimes I wish I was rich enough to only work an hour a day (half of that would be lunch too of course ;)).
