Elisa, Look in the Knowledge Base HERE

You will find 2 guides that will help you,
1) How to: extract firmware of your player using the S1fwx tool
2) How to: Modify your firmware using s1res tool

You will find all the tools you need in the Downloads>Tools section HERE

I've read all... I've extracted my firmware and backup it. Download the Vista Theme but with s1res don't read this file... Have I to rename?? or I have only to transfer File Vista Theme as firmware with Mp3 player utility??

Re: Change menu icons

you have to open your own dump.bin with s1res (after you made a backup-copy), then doubleclick (/click on the plus) on "ui30.res" or something like that (in my firm it's named like that), doubleclick on "icon", search the pictures you want to replace, import the new ones (the ones from the vista-pack, you have to extract the *.zip-file with winzip or some other application like that), save the firmware and load it to your player again with the upgrade-tool. hope that helps ;).

Re: Change menu icons

hm thats bad, you would have to redesign the theme or find a pack for your player somewhere on the internet :(. do you just want to change the menu? that would be just a few pictures, you could surely enough find somebody who fits it to your firmware, maybe you should give him the dump.bin so he sees how the pictures fit in. i'd do it, but i'm away for at least the next 10 days...

I' ve search everywhere... yesterday I found an Ipod theme and I tried to modify my firmware with new images... but when I tranfered my modified firmware the mp3 player update give me an error! Why???

This is my firmware (cut+edit) http://rapidshare.de/files/27776174/dump.bin.html

can enyone modify it with Vista theme by Tadad??
My player is a nano clone 1.5'' white.

Elisa, If you are using the firmware from your rapidshare link you have not repaired it after extracting it. You need to put it into the s1fwx folder and run the Repair.bat then it should load to your player. Looking at your firmware it is not suited to the Vista theme but you could use the excellent iPod themes on site.

It's difficult to me try to explain in english...
I ask if someone can modify my firmware with this image... is it possible?
ok... i've repaired it... it's ok?
http://rapidshare.de/files/27786600/dump.bin.html

I tried to modify my firmware with s1res using Ipod icons but I can't updade my firmware with update tool because this is an error!

I know that Vista theme isn't compatible with 3.3.37 but is it possible only using vista images to modify my icons?

sorry for my bad english!

Elisa, the firmware you modified with the ipod theme needs to be repaired then you should be able to load it.
I have added the menus from the Vista Theme but I can not test it because I do not have a player that suits your firmware. If your menus have text titles you may have to delete the text from the firmware by loading it into s1res and finding the text in UI30.RES>mstring and delete it.

You can download it HERE .
