Re: How to get a right translation in German?
Bochi, First you will need to extract and repair the Firmware from your player using s1fwx HERE . Then you can edit your firmware using s1res HERE . You will find an entry in your firmware called "UI30.RES" if you expand it you will see a sub-heading "mstring", when expanded you will see all the text strings for all the languages used in your firmware. You can click on the German text you want to edit and change it in the edit line at the bottom. Then save your firmware and load it back to your player using the MP3 Upgrade Tool which is part of the Mp3 Player Utilities suite of applicatins.
Note that when you save your edited firmware you may get a "Data Overflow" warning. I have never found this a problem and the firmware has worked faultless for me but others have reported that the firmware will not load or when it does some features are missing from their firmware, so be sure to keep an unedited version of your firmware incase you need to load the original unedited version back.
You will find instructions on how to use these applications in the Knowledge Base HERE .
Hope this helps and if you get the chance perhaps you could load you corrected German version to the firmware section as others may wish to use it.
