Switching themes
Doon told in the mypod-download-area that he uploaded both of his themes to his player to be able to switch them. how is that possible with s1res?
i thought you just replace the images. or what do i have to do to get the new theme? ... and what is with the menu-animations (the original player theme has animations while mypod just has single pictures)? and if i just have to replace the pictures, why does doon use other filenames, then the original ones? thx |
Re: Switching themes
There's a thread on modifying your image files at http://www.mympxplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=206
You will need to use your current repaired dump file (recommended) to swop the existing images with the new images that you have downloaded. The filenames do not matter as the program will just consider the image itself, not filename. |
no idea, how to set up multiple themes to switch?
|
anchelito, Some firmware have two versions of menus one animated one static and there is a setting to switch between them if your does not then you have to do is load the two different themes in to 2 different copies of your firmware then you can change the theme by changing the firmware.
Edit: On animated menu's only part of the screen is animated usually just the icon the rest of the screen does not change. When you do a theme like Doon's excellent myPod theme where the menu spans the whole image you can not just have the centerbit animated where the icon used to be. The truth of the matter is the myPod menu is animated it is just the same image repeated so that it appears static. Doon has used a great deal of skill and creativity to put together a theme that the firmware was never designed to support as the image layout of every screen is like a jigsaw. |
thank you for your help.
another problem: in doon's files the telephone-images are missing. am i the only one with this problem? |
anchelito, He may not have telbook function on his firmware not all players do, which theme are you loading.
