Ok i have backed up my firmware and looked at the files in there and here is the weird thing...

Like the loading images are not what i see it shows them as being a beach that says welcome but all i see is a hourglass and the menu's even look diffrent....

So i was like screw it ill just put my firmware back on and see what happens but it is still the same....

I dont even see the hourglass in the firmware.

Ok checked again and my menus are in there but the fourth image of ever menu is a diffrent looking theme.... And i def dont see no beach loading screen just a hourglass that aint even animated.

This is the theme i am wanting to use but how do i know what images to replace especially the boot images...?

bL33d,
It is not uncommon for firmware to contain images and files not used. It may contain junk from past versions and models that has not been removed. The houglass is not accessible with s1res but is usually seen before the opening animation.
Upload your firmware to sendspace.com and leave a link and I will check if it is compatible with the theme you linked.

bL33d,
Have loaded your firmware to one of my players. You are turning your player on and off at the switch. To get the animation to work you need to turn it on and off by long pressing the play button.

The theme you linked is not suited to your firmware it has a totaly different image layout so you may have to look at some of the others.

bL33d, Your firmware appears to be an 3.2.16 version that has been upgraded to 3.5.35. File browsing did not start until 3.5.37 but then only in some firmware.

Anyway to safely upgrade mine?

BTW i was able to get the boot screens from that theme to work with mine which is nice.

What about the 1.8 ipod like theme would it work?

bL33d, the boot, shutdown and menu screens are quite easy and would involve minimal editing but the feature screens music, record, radio etc. are so different in image size and placement from firmware to firmware that you practically have to build them from scratch.
