Default Adding a 'seek' bar to my firmware

I've recently bought a MP4 1.5" player by the name Hyundai MP-557v
The firmware info is:
S1 mp3 player
Wilson Co. Ltd.
3.5.37
YHXC1078C

I've made my own skin, well, partially, and it's going pretty good.
I have one question, though.
My original firmware didn't have a seek bar (the one that show's the progress of the song), and I was wondering if it could be added into the firmware, as it basically has nothing to do with input of buttons or anything.
I'm just wondering, since the picture in the instructions (and pics of that player on the internet) show that that bar is present.

If anybody knows something about this, please help.

Default Re: A question

Hadriel , the pictures you see on the internet and instructions are modified images which might not apply to your player.
There is no way of adding an additional seek-bar to the player, and you might have noticed that the background images you have done are all static images.
Adding the seek-bar would need to modify the firmware source file, but at the moment there is still no open-source file for these players yet. But the people at S1mp3.org are working on this.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Hadriel,

As lattesurf mentioned. The current s1res only let's your modify that is extracted in the firmware file. However, it won't let you 'add' anything additional.

Try hunting around your firmware within s1res and see if you can find something of a 'seek' bar image in there. Maybe the manufacturer left it out on purpose?

Ok, thanks for the help!
I kinda was expecting this answer.
Since it isn't possible yet to do a seek bar, I'll just try to make a good enough skin to compensate for it.
And I really hope you or the people at s1mp3.org find a way of getting that open-source firmware file.
