how do i change the music screen.

go to the download themes section of this website.

there are many cool themes like one from tadad for 1.8 screen which replaces virtually all the files.

and then while replacing the images using s1res, just replace the corresponding menu images with that of tadad's

The first thing you have to do is to go to the "Knowledge Base" section and learn how to extract, modify and upload the firmware.

My player came with exactly the same screen, the only thing I do was some minor changes using photoshop and now it looks like this:
