Rockchip (26.10.2112) Theme or Firmware Update ?

Hi ! I'm going to mod my Mp4 but how can I change theme or update firmware on this chip ?

BTW. Welcome all and sorry my English isn't good.

please have a look at your firmware version in settings.

if it is 9.x.xx or something like that, then you cant mod it as s1res which supports that firmware hasnt been released yet.

if it is 3.5.xx, you can mod it. have a look here -

firmware upgrade is not recommended, as it might kill your player

You cannot update with 35xx or 90xx. Couse it is different type of chip player. Also rockchip player's firmware not exists on main memory for USB MASS STORAGE. There is another memory on that player other than main memory! There is firmware exists. something like Samsung k4s281632F. I don't have any idea yet how to get that firmware from that memory. But I will try to get that soon...

sak_cheegii is right, you cannot use Actions chipset firmware to update or modify your player. Yours is a Rockchip chipset, thus is runs on rockchip firmware (duh).

OK, you also shouldn't update it because any other firmware other than what is already in it, will most likely kill it. I doubt whether you can mod it too.

If it's working fine then leave it alone. Have you heard the old saying "If it's not broken, don't fix it"
