Firmware Theming
 

I am offering to theme the firmwares of the players of people who are having difficulties, do not have time or are having no idea on how to do so.

Those who want to have their firmwares themed by me are requested to ask here and give the following information -

1. What theme you want?

2. Upload your firmware.

I will be able to theme your firmware only if it is 3.5.35 or 3.5.37 as 9.0.43 and above arent supported yet.

vietnamesetan, i would be more than willing to theme your firmware but can you please upload your firmware somewhere else because megaupload forces me to download a toolbar which is a ad/spyware.

mymp4, i have themed your firmware.

it was tough (guess there are loads of firmware variations of 3.5.37 and 35 left for me to see) but i have changed as many images as i can. it is a different theme and not vista. but you can put it on your player and see if you like it or not.

vietnamesetan, i was able to theme your player but could put only the ipod theme and not the vista theme as it is not suitable with your firmware.

sorry deepakrr but I uploaded it on my mp4 and it shows a bright screen?

yeh whenever you upload the firmware for the first time, everything gets reset to default settings. just go to settings and adjust the contrast :)

Slyman, your firmware is also ready. Out of the three people for whom i have themed, your firmware was the most perfect one. each file matched the images in the theme and i was easily able to replace all the files successfully.

the only thing that will add more to my delight is if you like it. upload it onto your player and report back on whether you like it or not.

mmmhh the turn on and off animation isn't the Ipod the ipod animation and can you cahnge the police with the fonts of the Ipod plzzzzzzzz

you know what would be a kick ass theme? walkman 2.0 from the sony ericsson phones. the ipod theme is so done. ;)

Does anyone have any idea when 9.0.50 will be themeable? I really want a vista or ipod theme. That would freakin rock!

i think it will take a few months for a newer version of s1res to be released.

but be optimistic and hope that its released sooner rather than later

I've only just registered with this site but have been viewing it for ages and it's been a great source of info.
I'd really really like to mod the firmware on my Sumvision Yumi PRO which is F/W 3.5.37 and a 1.8" vertical screen with the following theme..

Would you be able to do this for me please??? I've had a bit of a go and have managed to change a few images/menu's but I can't relate which image goes where to get the full mod. I'd love to have the radio and music player skinned with the above theme.
One concern, the above theme seems to be in 128 x 128. My screen is 120 x 160, I guess I'd be able to just re-size the backgrounds etc once moded and then re-upload it, what do you think?
If you'd help me out with this mod I'd be very grateful
