Firmware dump.bin for my MP4
 

Hi everybody.I've looked everywhere and i can't find any dump.bin firmware for my mp4 player :cry: .i extracted it from my mp4 player using siwfx or whatever its called and then when i tried to modify it with s1res it says that it was a wrong file format and the error thing comes up.the info of my mp4 are:

MP3 Player
LKD_93B2_03
2006-11-23
9.0.48
2006-09-12

could someone plz give me the link to the firmware plz?and could you make sure its exactly the same as my mp4 version because i don't want to kill my player.any help is appreciated.thx.

potterfan6, There are no tools to extract firmware versions 9.0.48 and above. s1fwx will only work on versions up to 9.0.43. A new tool is being developed and once complete you will be able to backup your firmware.
There is no way of telling the exact firmware for your player as there are 1000's of variations and even though a player may look exactly the same as yours does not mean the firmware will be the same.
At this stage trying any other firmware on your player will most likely kill it and without the proper firmware you will be unable to recover it.

potterfan6, Sure but do not hold your breath. It took over 6 months to get the software upgraded for 9.0.43. I know the author 'wiRe' is creating a whole new program called s1flash but at the moment the extracted firmware is getting scrambled after the first 128MB. Unfortunatly he does not get much time to work on it these days so if there are any members with z80 programing skills you may be able to help by contacting him at www.s1mp3.de
