Animated BMP??
 

COmplete total noob to this site, but i know my formats. Ive seen animated themes and i know that they are definatly not bmp files. Can Some players take gif format too?? How are these themes animated

MP4 PLayer Firmwares only accepts bmp images. They are animated because they are arranged in a sequential order..

Oh i under stand so i will only be able to make a custom animation only if my mpx player alredy has one by replacyng the stock bmp pictures with my custom bmp pictures right?

mine accepts jpeg and gif formats. I don't usually use bmp but i'm pretty sure it accepts those too. RicanJoe - I think you can just transfer your images to the player and it'll work.

I think there are two different topics here. I think what Marc is saying is that for actual THEMES, any animation is a series of bitmaps, you can't hack your firmware with animated gifs.
But for normal picture viewing, yeah, animated gifs work.

yeah that is what i meant

oh I'm sorry. Didn't know what you meant before. Yeah only BMP's are accepted for firmware editing
