Dump.bin Or Dump.bi$

OK im THE ONLY noob with 16777215 posts witch is cool but any way i need the clarification on the firmware theam mod tutorial, Witch one can i mod and witch one is back up. is the Dump.bi$ the one to mod or the dump.biN???

16 million posts is a mistake in our system. I am going to resynch the post count and this should fix it.

RicanJoe... "Dump.bin" is created by s1fwx when you backup your players firmware.
Next you use the repair program to repair the file so it can be uploaded or modified back to your player. During the repair process the original "Dump.bin" is renamed to "Dump.bi$" and a new "Dump.bin" file is created... this new file is your 'repaired' firmware file.

It is this repaired dump file that can be modified and it's always a good idea to make a backup of it before you make any changes to it too.
