Default Please help newbie!

I recently purchased a nano-style mp3 player off of ebay. so far, I have only been able to put music files onto it. the music plays fine but I would like to be able to play movies too. Could you please answer a few questions that i have...

First off, I have measured the screen diagonally and it is about 1.6 inches. Now, would a theme for a 1.5 inch work on this? (It is 1.2 vertically and 1.05 horizontal)
If I download a new theme will it delete all of the music files I have already stored?

Also, how do i know what type of video files it will take? And how do I convert them?
Thank you so much!

By the way, my mp3 appears to be identical to that of this one:

and its firmware version is 3.5.37 on 4/24/2006

anne_327, For a 1.5inch screen you should install MP3 Player utilities 3.68 and use the AMV Converter software to convert your video files to 128x128 or 128x96 .amv files.
There is a guide on how to do this in the Knowledge Base.

Do not try to load any themes to your player as if the firmware is incompatible it will brick your player. It is quite safe to extract your own players firmware and theme it though.

There is info in the Knowledge base on how to backup your 3.5.37 firmware using s1fwx and also how to theme it with s1res. All the tools you need can be found in the Downloads\Tools section
