pepsi.player,

NO.. do not do anything to your firmware at all. The themes in the download section are for specific and older firmware versions. Your player is relativly new and the new players don't like it when you flash older firmware to it. before you proceed any further can you tell me your players firmware version in your players Settings > Firmware Version please?

pepsi.player,

My best suggestion, when you get your player, is to:
1. Backup all the files on the player (just copy and paste it somewhere).
2. Use the s1fwx tool to extract the firmware. If yours is the newer firmware, it won't extract it but it's worth a try. This way, you have a backup of your firmware should you need it again.
3. After extracting the firmware, you can use the s1res tool to read it and modify the images to retheme your player. Then you can reupload it back into your player.

Try to stay away from using someone else's firmware as there is a very high chance you will get a dead player using an incompatible firmware.

Hope that helps.
