2" mp4 player HELP
Hello everybody
I have a 2" mp4 player (My player) with firmware version 01.04.0000 (2007.03.02). I tried to extract the firmware but I can't do it .I tried to update the firmware with the program and firmware on thats site but I can't. Can help me somebody to modify to extract this firmware? |
Re: 2" mp4 player HELP
Hi Positive. Well, i am not sure that's the good firmware version. Is that all that appears on the screen when you want to view the f/w version? Also, if it is working, it does not worth changing the firmware as you'll break it for sure. Many people here have f/w'ed their players and now they don't work anymore.
About the extraction problem, i think you can't extract it for now, because it seems it's a 9.xx version that is not supported by the firmware extraction/writing programs so far. |
Re: 2" mp4 player HELP
Your player is a RockChip based player. There is no program to extract the firmware for these yet.
If you need a backup copy of your firmware I see you can download it from the website (older version though - well spotted NOLA Mpx) or there should be a copy on a CD with the player. |
The firmware offered on the site is dated Dec. 2006. Yours is 2007. Not sure you'd want to do that as the download is older.
Edit: Does the update program in the download let you extract your current firmware for backup? I'm on a Mac, so I can't try it. If it does, there will be many happy rockchip player owners who will be happy you came by. |
