Hard-Coded text -> modding problems

I am trying to theme the glacier's 'music player menu'. I have edited 100 bitmaps in 6 hours and i found a big problem. The scrolling text background is green while my theme is blueish. And it looks like hell. Is there any way of changing the text background color so we can make the text transparent? I hope i haven't worked for nothing :(.

Thanks.

Umm... Make your theme greenish as well? :lol:

Anyway, i'm sure those players don't support transparency, so the only way it can be implemented is with a firmware modification.

God dammit there must be something there. I have changed the menu as well and the f****r supports transparency but for a reason it still overwrites that damn piece. But i think I know what to do. I'll try to find out what RGB() value has that green piece and hex it if i find it in the firmware. That'll do it :).

Well, some nice thinking there. ;)

Any news on the AMV converter? And btw, what town are you from?

Oh the Amv converter is dead for now. I don't think i can do anything about it since i don't have enough data about the format.
About the bitmap thing, I tried finding that values inside, but it doesn't work. I just screwed my player and had to restore it.

I am from Ploiesti :). U?

P.S. Are you aware of any romanian online store where we can get some nice and cool rockchip based players? I got mine from mediadot.ro but I don't trust them anymore because they advertised a lot of stuff on this player and it had nix.
