would also need to know if some knows where info about the type of flash used is store what file ??

You need to have the same two chip types when you piggyback. So, you'd need two 512s or two 1Gs
I also suggest that you back up your current flash using s1clone or something similar. Where did you get your chip? I'm looking for some for a mod of my own. ^__^ |
Re: Try to mod by adding extra 1gb samsung chip
I got the memory chips off of another couple of players i have
i do have 2 1gb that i can work with but heres my findings so far i already have the firmware backup when i remove the 512mb chip and install the first 1gb chip and use the rdisk utility reports unknown flash type but i know the chips are good cause i put them back to its player it works fine. i reinstall the 512mb chip on to the player to be modded and all is back in working condition heres what i figure theres some file in the firmware which tells the diffrence of the flash types does any one know where the flash info is stored in the brec files or drivers etc..... or if theres some one with a 3.5.35 1gb player of this type please upload and state it when you uploada so i can test heres a pic of my player: http://www.mympxplayer.org/pafiledb/...s/t2_43062.jpg its 2 speaker 2 headphone with 512mb thanks |
