Default Theme Install Help - Menu Order, etc.

Howdy folks,

I've been scanning through the forums and How-Tos for a while, and just wanted to get something cleared up.

I have a 2GB Nano clone, 1.5" screen (128x128), Actions 3.5.37 firmware, and I've modded my boot and end screens a bit. What I'd really like to do is apply something like the myPod theme I've seen here.

Problem is - my menu order is different than what is listed. My default menu starts with Video ("Movie"), and then has Music, etc. Most of the themes here start with Music first.

Also, when I open up my firmware in s1res, all of the BMP names are different from any of the themes I've seen here. Also, I can't figure out how to use the progress bar, as I don't think my current FW version even HAS a progress bar...?

I guess what I'm trying to say is - can I use any of the themes here, or am I looking at creating a custom one from scratch, just for my own player?

Well, an update - with no input or help from anyone here (thanks for ignoring me), I made my own iPod menu theme, borrowing a PSD I found elsewhere on the net.

It actually was pretty simple, once I figured out that you can't change the order of your menu.

But what I'd really like to know is how to change the actual MP3 player part of my interface. Is it possible to move components of the theme around? Like the song titles, "EQ", etc? Or am I stuck just editing the current BMPs on my player, having to leave the size, etc alone?

Derfel , it's not possible to move any of the components around the screen. The firmware was specifically hard coded, and all you can do is to modify the images that's all.

Most cases you'll need to work around the components.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29
