Default What can I do with my Sumvision SEMPRA Pro player?

Hi all. nice site

I have a Sumvision SEMPRA Pro 4GB. i did a bit of a search on site but came up with bits and bobs.

Basically i want the low down on what i can do with this mp4 player i have had it a while now and am use to hacking and modding stuff.

i seen bits on firmware and software and what rom type it is.
if all that could be given to me that would be great. i am also curious as to weather i can change the bootup icons etc etc syncing proper best software etc etc

Hi wardenet,

Welcome to the site.
Being able to mod your player depends on the chipset and firmware version of your player.

If you can go into the "System" then "Firmware Information" within your player, it should tell you what firmware version you have. From there, we should be able to tell you what chipset you have on your player and what tools are available (if any) that let's you modify it.

wardenet...

Do you have a backup of the firmware of your player?
That's for two reasons...
first, if you intended to mod your device it will be safer if you have a backup.
second, maybe you can share it with us uploading it here... it will be very useful for me as I have been looking for this firmware for some time.

Thanks in advance

PD... Sorry I miss to say that your DAP is a rockchip unit and here you'll find some tools to deal with this firmware, for instance RKLogEdit to change the logos of it.

You back it up?...
You mean you copy the firmware that comes in a cd?...
or did you extracted it from your device?
