Mp4 themes

I downloaded the theme from here http://www.mympxplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=526 and I extracted the files using winzip but they only show in the photos section of my mp4 player. How can I make this theme my style?

I have a 2gb 1.8 screen mp4 player

Hi, you`re just putting the downloaded images into your mp4 like images!

To install a theme you have to follow a couple of steps explained in the main section of this forum.

The process is a little bit tedious, you have to extract the firmware of your player, locate and replace the bitmaps, and then export the firmware again into the player.

And yet, this process is not available for all players.

PunxNotDead , your current player's firmware version is not supported by the firmware extraction tool yet. So you can't extract a working firmware dump. Without this dump, it is extremely risky to download someone else's firmware to flash into your player. As you would most likely brick it instead.

Is that why my bin file is recognized as an incorrect format? That is the error message I kept receiving when I was trying to open my bin file in s1res

PunxNotDead , yes. As the extraction tool does not support your version, certain files are not being able to be read off your player properly. This creates an incomplete dump.bin file. The incomplete file cannot be read properly by S1res.
