Ok i am getting very very confused. This morning i recieved an iglacier 2.0" lcd screen in the post after the postal strike (lazy bastards).

This is the firmware info:

2006/05/17
9.1.52
2007/1/12
ACTU_SDK

I've been told that i might not be able to extract the firmware from my player. Is this correct?

I used these instructions to extract the firmware and i do have dump.bin on my pc.

It seemed to have worked...

Any help would seriously be appreciated.

yes although u get the dumb.bin file on ur pc...but the file is might be corrupted..s1fwx will display error lastly after it tried to extract the firmware(9.0.xx)..at the commandline..so it is better if u check ur dumb.bin correctly

iglacier , as gaboon mentioned, S1fwx would extract a firmware dump from your player, which would look like a normal dump file. However, it is missing alot of driver files and could not be used for backup or whatsoever.

If you did notice, or you can try extracting again, the last command prompt message would indicate errors in extracting. Also, only 4 (i think) driver files would be extracted, there are way much more files than 4.
