Mp4 Player Firmware Mod

Hello,

I'm new so please excuse me if I couldn't find info prior to this post.

I have an "MP4" player that looks like the 3rd Gen iPod with FM radio. The only major appearance differences are a mini USB connector instead of an iPod Dock connector and no scrolling on the wheel (and all the internal screens). Of course it does not play ACC but rather WMA and MP3s and AMV video.

The firmware screen reads as follows:

Firmware V
MP3 player (it does plays video)
BKSD91NB22_30
2007-08-15
9.1.52
2005-01-09

I have several questions ...

(1) Can I modify the start-up and shut down screens to remove the Apple logo and replace with something else.
(2) Can I modify the menus so that the text is smaller like the iPods.
(3) Can I modify how the buttons work. That is, I want the center button to be the "select" or "excecute" button, currently "menu" is used for these actions.
(4) Will this device play any other video besides AMV (I have converted a DVD, Casino Royale, and it plays fine in AMV format).

Any other helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Millstonemike

BTW: These forums and the knowledge the users impart are priceless.
