Firmware extraction, modding

Hi,

I want to mod my player, but I haven't got a firmware file with it, as many others here. So I looked for firmware extraction methods. A tutorial here about the s1fwx program, but it seems to be for another chipset (I am right?) and does not work with my player.

Then I read somewhere about an editor with extraction functionallity, but it is not ready now.

So, how can I skin my player, maybe someone has the firmware for one or both of this things.

Thank you

To be completely safe I'd suggest that you wait till its possible for you to extract your own firmware. Changing the firmware on your mp4 players can be dangerous even if it seems as though the versions are the same.
