Default Upgrading hardware memory on 1.8" 3g nano AK1025

I got a "8gb" player a couple days ago and ran into the usual problems.
After tearing my hair out for a bit i found this site and re-formated to the real size of 962mb.
I got all my money back from the seller and was able to keep the player so now it's free, woot.

But, 1gb isn't what i was after, and more would really be better.

I took it apart to see what memory chip (and main chip) it has, and here is what it has currently:

Board: HAIYU M618-V1
Memory: 1x 29f8g08maa (MICRON?).
Main: AK1025 (Actions, 9.1.52)

On the main chip's side of the board there is an empty spot for another memory chip. I'm curious whether the main chip would be able to recognize the second memory chip if i were to find one (if that is even possible!) and solder one in.

I'm fairly happy with it now (the price was right), but 2gb would be much better then 1gb

EDIT:
OK so it's definitely a Micron chip, i found it on their web page.
It costs $16(before shipping) each, the 2GB version of the same chip costs $22.
So the question is... How much can an Actions chipset 1025 work with?
If it can do 4gb it's totally worth $44 to me to buy new chips.
It's even worth $16 to get 2gb, really.
Assuming the second memory chip pad is functional(It might not be, some of the solder pads are painted over and don't seem to connect to anything).
If not 2gb would cost me $22, which is still worth it i think.

Thoughts?
