My player looks like the one in the above post. I created files with all known tag-names finally adding a file with name "RKLDSET.FLW" made it. Also I had to rename that file later in order to switch the player back to normal operation.

Cheers

Just right click on your player and create a NEW document (any say "New Microsoft Word Document.doc&quot and just rename it to rkusb.tag and it works just fine.

Btw, here are some typical Rockchip 27xx series players that this firmware extraction method will work on:-

Hello everyone.
Newbie with such player, I have this one above, with 16GB.
Backuping sofware from the hidden disk, there is another file called "HOLDON.BIN".
Anyway, I tried the I PHONE LOOK on it and... It crashed (screen went crazy, irreadable, messy).
I switched it off and never started again.
I had to format the main disk (15,3 gb, and "bye-bye" my mp3 and avi),although the screen stilled dark (I guess it needed the right program to start).
Hopefully, I could reinstall the original files I saved.
Now it seems to work...
Does anyone know what I did wrong ?
The guy on ebay told me it can't be upgradable.
Something else : mine can't play mp4 that I get thanks to keepvid.com.
And yours ?
Thanks for you help !

I have this same problem with the touch screen. What do you mean by hold function? If you mean the LOCK switch on the top of the player, then that's not the problem I have.No matter what firmware (original or otherwise) the touch screen does not respond. Its an RK27 2.2 080722

Thanks
