RockChip SDK

Hi All,

I think I may have stumbled upon the rockchip 26xx SDK plus all the related files to write your own Firmware.
It seems some people on a forum have the full SDK for the rockchip, I get a "You are not allowed to download" message from the forum, but if anyone can download it, that would be our biggest hurdle with firmware advancement.

not 'arf, I've been trying to get my paws on this for ages.

Tried the links above though, but couldn't find a download link.

There is an email address, but is he asking for the SDK or has he got it? can't figure out.

What about this?

Translation

There is a piece of source and a download link at the bottom, but it's only for registered members. When i try to register, it asks for two codes, but it only shows one...

Of course i did... it's common sense.

Anyways, here is a little update for everyone! I still haven't found the SDK, but i think i've stumbled upon the documentation for it:

(Chinese Original)

[Translation. Scroll down to where it says "Rockchip 26XX software training"]

There is something that looks like the firmware sourcecode, and a list of "development tools" which are these:

- FWTools

- RockMenu

- ImageConvert

- Edit Consumer List

It also has plenty of screenshots of software and flowcharts... I know this isn't the full SDK, but it may be of some help for developing a firmware extractor...

Re: RockChip SDK

Yes, this IS really what we need. :)

You can see a summary of training course produced by Rockchip to train firmware developers.

http://translate.google.com/translat...sl=zh-CN&tl=en

You can also get to a page with what might be downloads, but again you need to registered for this.

http://longyuan27558.blog.163.com/

Tried to register but you need to confirm your registration by typing in some chinese characters.

I think this is the closest we have come to this so far, we really need a chinese member to log-in and help us with this.

If we got this we could indeed make an extractor and do a whole lot more.

Thanks for this pesho

Re: RockChip SDK

Would the stuff i posted be of any help at all? I know its just a documentation, but its a pretty extensive one... Also, i actually managed to register using a chinese OCR (and a million tries  ), but i could't find a download link anywhere... I think the only way to get it would be to ask for the SDK from the blog's author... The easydigi forums may have an actual download link, but thats a closed circle, because you need someone from the forum to invite you... or download the thing and send it to you directly.

Well it helps us to know what to look for, and it appears the tools would be useful for 27xx series Rockchips too, we'll just have to keep looking and hope that anyone who downloaded it will share it further.

Hi @all
After 2 Weeks of playing with the RKP-Game-Disassembler i had now
enough information to made my first RKP-Assembler (BETA-Version).
Includes a Documentation and a sample-program (Data-Viewer) and
some RKP-Game-Files. Actually it's all Assembler (LSI ZSP400 Instruc-
tions). My next steps: C64-Emulator, Calculator, Basic-Compiler,
PDF-Viewer, Database

Thanks Benny, I'll have a look at this and give feedback.

edit:-
Yes, I loaded the sample program in my Rk2608 player and it does work. It displays a movable cursor and memory contents, this is awesome work!

Re: RockChip SDK

hey guys in srry but im a noob at all this can someone help me with all this?

knob 30th Sep 2008 1:47 pm

You need to have a RK2608 player that supports Rock games. Just load the sample-program into the assembler and then compile it.

Copy the "PROG_TEST_00.RKP" it produces over into the "GAME" folder on your player and run it from the game menu to see it work.

How do you know if your rockchip supports rock games? I have a 2608a with firmware 00.00.0002 but there is no 'GAME' folder or game menu. I have a GAME icon on the main screen but it only launches tetris. I created a GAME folder and browsed to it but cannot launch the .rkp file. Maybe that answers my first question...

flasher86 2nd Jul 2009 2:25 am

I have polish rebranded version of Teclast C260 with 2606a rockchip on board. With original firmware I wasnt able to upload games, there was only built-in tetris. But when I updated with the firmware from TL-C260 I didnt lose any function and now I can play rkp games. So it is the firmware not the player.
